Swami Rudrananda (Rudi) was born in Brooklyn and grew up like many of us. His journey and the lessons of his teaching inspired many throughout his life. This work represents a compendium of much of his insights.

| Introduction to Fasting and Detoxification

Over the last several years many people have asked me questions about various fasting protocols and the merits of detoxification. In preparation for our sixth organized SunRaven Group Fast, I invite you to join us for an introductory discussion on these topics.
During the evening, I will discuss the principles of detoxification and offer some specific recommendation about fasts. I will also demonstrate the preparation of "green juice" and prepare you to begin your own program.
For those who would consider participating in the sixth SunRaven Group Fast (which will begin on Friday October 17th--see details below), this would be an excellent introduction. In fact, it is required for those who have not participated in the past as it takes several weeks to organize for the fast week itself and it is important for me to meet you and to go over these details with new propsective fasters.
The seminars will be held on the two dates listed...it is not necessary to attend more than one. The fee for the evening will be $25 which will include a glass of deliciously nutritious freshly made "green" vegetable juice.

More than 30 years ago Pat Redegast was having a very special conversation with someone inside her head. At first, she actually thought she was hallucinating. Years later, and with the support of other friends and guidance, she realized that the messenger, Emmanuel, was a special part of her conscious awareness. After many more years of communication and contemplation she published the work, which became a cult classic.
Now, decades later, our collective consciousness is being reintroduced to these messages with a renewed sense of interest and purpose.

The Sixth Group Fast will begin on Friday evening, October 17th and continue through Saturday, October 25th. The weeklong program will include daily "community" meetings, highlighted by practices to facilitate the cleansing and detoxification of the mind and body of each participant, while providing support and guidance.
The fast program will continue through Saturday October 25th and will end with a closing ceremony that morning.
Participants who have not participated in the group fast before need to attend one of the three "introductory meetings" which will be scheduled in September (dates to be announced).
Note: The "fee" for the program is inclusive of all group activities for the entire week, except the Meditation on Tuesday evening at 7:30 led by Dr. Lawrence Edwards. |
